About me –
My name is Justine Blythe. I studied Design and Illustration at the Euclid College of Art and Design in Wiltshire before going on to become a bank manager for 25 years…….but I never lost my passion for creating beautiful things.
I have been painting furniture since the age of 14 when my parents let me loose on my dressing table. A passion was born!
About Siren Designs –
Siren Designs was born in 2011 when I was asked to revitalise the furniture in a beautiful Georgian seaside hotel in Weymouth. Many of the rooms now boast bespoke pieces from us.
We rescue quality, tired and unloved vintage furniture destined for the scrapheap and bring it back to life.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of the finish of our pieces.
About the name –
I wanted a name to reflect the seaside origins of the company.
The Sirens are mermaids from mythology and represent beauty and temptation; the lure of the irresistible. That perfectly reflects the ethos of our business.
